Welcome to the web-site of U3A Dénia.

After the Welcome banner above this may at first sight appear strange, however it is time to say farewell to our web site in this format. Next Thursday, 19 April, will be the launch date of our new style web site. For some time it has been recognised that to run such a comprehensive web site needed a better way of managing it. We also saw the need for a formal database system for membership records. In her search for a web site management system my assistant webmaster, Tina Bellenie, found an elegant solution to both requirements (and much more) in one product. Tina and I will be giving you a presentation about the new web site at the monthly Members' Meeting on this coming Thursday at the Casa de Cultura in Dénia. Please try to be there.

Geoff Evans, Webmaster

U3A Dénia is the most northerly U3A branch on the Costa Blanca, here in Spain. Our inaugural meeting was held on 24 January 2006 at Casa Holanda (better known as the Dutch Club) in Dénia. By the end of our first year, membership was almost 300 with 25 groups in operation. Our formal name is "Asociación Social de la Tercera Edad de Dénia". Better known as U3A Dénia.

The main purpose of U3A is to encourage lifelong learning and friendship for those no longer in full time employment by providing Educational, Recreational and Leisure Activities for its members

The purpose of this web-site is to act as a central information point for our members and to publicise and promote the U3A and in particular U3A Dénia. To discover more about U3A Dénia please visit the other pages of this web-site, in particular About U3A, Groups and Join Us.

To move around the site just click on the page links in the contents panel on the left and in the body of the text or follow the arrows at the top and bottom of each page to view them in sequence.
